Affiliate-/Disclaimers

Affiliate Disclosure

According to international Rules for Disclosure Compliance, released in 2015 by the Federal Trade Commission, every publisher on web media (blogs, YouTube videos, etc.) must inform readers or viewers whether s/he is sponsored, endorsed, or partnered with a different company. In blog terms, the readers need to know if the blogger is monetizing the blog by sharing a link or product.

I am an Affiliate Marketer. What does that mean?

I promote products of different companies by placing affiliate links inside my content. When I discuss a certain subject, I look for an appropriate company that offers products and/or help according to this subject and recommend their products to my readers, without obligation, but certainly in the hope that my readers follow my recommendations and click my affiliate links to buy something from the vendor.

What is an Affiliate Link?

When a reader clicks on an affiliate link, the reader can buy an item from the seller directly (not from me).

Prices are exactly the same for you, whether your purchase is through an affiliate link or a non-affiliate link. You will not pay more by clicking through to the vendor's site from my link. Sometimes, you even might pay less, when the vendor offers special incentives or prices through their affiliates.

The vendor (the company who I'm affiliated with) compensates me, the blogger, or webmaster, with a commission for presenting their products on my website.

I use different types of affiliate programs: Most vendors have their own, independent affiliate programs with their own rules, others run their affiliate programs by affiliate networks, like Clickbank (noticeable by the word  "hop" inside the link and the badge on the vendor's sales page. This badge usually implies you can get this product only via Clickbank affiliates.) Another affiliate network is Warriors+.

(There is a difference between affiliate networks, where the affiliate chooses what s/he wants to promote inside their own content, and ad networks, like Google, where the webmaster is no affiliate but only "rents out" their webspace to let Google place ads. Other ad networks (Viral advertising) compensate the webmaster by showing their ads or banners on other members' sites.)

What is Sponsored Content?

Occasionally, mostly from so-called "Influencers", a company orders a post from a blogger and pays for it. Such a post must be declared as "sponsored content" in the head or beginning.

I do not write sponsored posts unless an agreeable company hired me, but most companies have their own blogs and might hire a guest blogger there.

As a Content Marketer, I prefer to write my own unbiased content, - which does not mean, I don't monetize it by promoting helpful products. I do not own all the products or services I promote, but I advertise only such products or services of whose quality I could convince myself previously.

Inside the posts, it is not always easy to specially mark an affiliate link as a promotion. This is the reason for this here affiliate disclosure.

I am no Doctor, Fitness-Trainer, "Internet Marketing Guru", nor an expert in personal development, business, or any other area of the content discussed on my blogs. Anything said is my individual opinion, based on my personal experience. I do not offer any advice which would create a legal duty. In Short

In my blogs, I tell my readers, what I found/find beneficial for my personal physical and mental health, and what worked/works for me in my business. I'm not giving expert advice, nor legal advice, nor shall I be held liable if my suggestions do not work for you. Every reader must follow their own instinct considering my tips around home business with computer and internet.

Links, Comments, Advertising, and Other Third-Party Content

On my website, I place different kinds of links to other websites which are not exclusively under my control. I have no control over the nature, content, and availability of sites that are not declared as "my websites/blogs". The inclusion of any third-party links does not necessarily imply a recommendation or endorse the views expressed within them. At the time I linked such sites they contained no illegal or otherwise inappropriate content. If I find out that that has changed, I will remove such links, but I am not obliged to constantly control such sites.

I am expressively not responsible, nor will I be held liable, for anything anyone says in the comments on my blog, nor the laws which they may break in your country or theirs through their comments’ content, implication, and intent. The views and opinions expressed by commenters are independent and do not represent the views and opinions held by this blog’s owner. I'm always trying to remove inappropriate content and links from comments, but at the moment I'm not moderating them before they appear, and am not obliged to constantly control them.

This is meant to indulge commenting on my blogs. However, if I find spamming is indulged by my practice, I must immediately change this.

On my blog, I also show links to and by advertising networks, like Google, and viral advertising like AdsVert. Over such links, I have no control at all, and, in the case of Google, I am even strictly forbidden to click such links. I must trust that advertisers follow the rules of the ad network. Anyone who sees suspicious links in the applications can, however, report them to the respective ad network. I normally see other ads than you.

Advertising has to be marked

as such (and is) and must stand out clearly from the content. If the words 'Ad(vertising)' or 'Promotion' are not included, it stands out by the commonly known style and/or form of Banners, or widgets containing several different short promotional texts.

Copyrights

All content of this website, all trademarks, logos, and images are under copyright by the author or their respective owners and used under the provision of Fair Use. Any content may be solely used with prior written or otherwise declared consent, or under the provision of Fair Use.

What does that mean? Basically, in blogs, it means no sharing or citation without the backlink to the original post and naming the author. Posts may not be copied and pasted anywhere in whole, feeds containing the whole post may not be published elsewhere.

Availability

I strive to keep all my links and affiliate links up-to-date, but sales and offers are at the discretion of the vendors - I cannot be held responsible for offers taken down before I noticed it.

Every effort is made to keep the website up and running smoothly. However, I take no responsibility, and will not be liable, if the website is temporarily unavailable due to technical issues beyond my control.
